Sister Theresa: John, that HAS to be sacrilege to tug on my habit like that in order to get my attention.
John: Naw, it’s what it’s for.
Sister Theresa: (the smile came)
John: How’s a nun’s life?
Sister Theresa: Everything’s good yeah. We’re trying to decide how we’re going to handle schedule changes in the convent. Sister St Joseph has been asked to put on a small series about the dynamics of The Holy Family. But anyways it’s on the east side of town so we’re trying to figure out her use of the car in order to get there.
John: St Joe.
Sister Theresa: I love love love St Joseph.
John: The true ladies man that’s for sure. But hey, could you image the panic he had to be in when Jesus ran off to the temple. How long was it three days or something?
Sister Theresa: Yeah three days.
John: Could you imagine what Mary & Joseph were thinking, and Joseph in particular. haha he tells Mary- ‘Just, stay, put. Please stay put. Real great, I’ve already lost God himself, that’s all I need is to lose The Mother of God too.’ Do you think Joseph spanked him when they finally found him? I know Mary wouldn’t even know what the word spank means.
Sister Theresa: I don’t know.. he was a pretty God fearing man, John.
John: Scared about kindred disobedience you mean? Feared Jesus might fire back and spank him you mean?
Sister Theresa: Not Jesus John, not ever.
John: Jesus is great too- ‘why would you be worried about me?’ I, me your Son- was only gone for three days, dad. hehe
Sister Theresa: John the spirituality in that scene. Those lovely Twin Hearts all the time!!
Jesus says- “Did you not know that I must be in my Father’s house?”
Mary knew, Mary knew entirely as she herself was in continual prayer to The Father. Mary & Jesus are one in this fashion. It said Mary “kept it in her heart”. It says this a few other places and whenever this comes up in the gospel the union of The Twin Hearts can be reflected on by the faithful for the greatest of meanings.
But yeah- I’ll have to remind sister to mention something about that. I’ll tell her John thought Jesus shoulda been spanked for running off.
John: There was no time out, no nothing… Ey will you be at the early mass? I need to run.
Sister Theresa: Yeah, I will be.
John: K. Yeah, I like to sit behind you guys. I figure that’s my only chance… to sit near very Holy people- my power surge.
Sister Theresa: (laugh) Oh John… But yeah, I have a prayer card I wanted to give you, I’ll bring it.
John: Throw it at me if I’m sleeping… Errrrr leeeey.. zzzzZZZzzz
Ey.. it’s for hiding bed head too.. your habit.
Sister Theresa: That’s what I like about no hats on in The Church. There’s no way around it for you, and I get to see it!! Bed head and hat hair, man is that fun John!!
John: Manana- rise and shine. (parting)
Sister Theresa: Wakey wakey (eggs and bacy)… lol…Bye John…
